APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER FROM CRANFIELD UNIVERSITY/UK DEFENCE ACADEMY

Crossword Cybersecurity plc has appointed Paul Lewis as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Paul joins from Cranfield University/UK Defence Academy where he teaches the UK Ministry Of Defence, and their international counterparts, in cyber defence and critical national infrastructure protection. Previously Paul was Head of Information Assurance/Technical Security Consultant for a major UK government account at ATOS IT Services and Lead Technologist at InnovateUK (formerly Technology Strategy Board), the public body sponsored by the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills, where he co-designed and implemented large multimillion pound cyber security investment programmes.

Tom Ilube, CEO, said “we are delighted to welcome Paul as CTO of Crossword. He brings a wealth of industry-based cyber security experience as well as deep knowledge of and networks across the cyber security community.”

Paul said “it is a great opportunity to be joining Crossword and working with universities across the UK and Europe to help commercialise the best cyber security research out there.”

Paul will take up his role in April 2015.
